Exhibition

Know the white, keep the black

Woodblock Prints by He Weimin

at Arthur Probsthain Bookshop/Gallery

(opposite British Museum)
Saturday 29 November, 12-4 pm

Introductory talk by David Barker at about 1 pm
with canapes and wine.
The exhibition will be on display from 1 December to 28 February
(Monday - Friday 9.30-5.30, Saturday 12-4)


The artist will be demonstrating his work on woodblock printing Sat. 13 December, 12-4

 

Artist-in-Residence project

Currently, He Weimin is working in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, as Artist-in-Residence, to record the redevelopment of the Britain's oldest museum through his drawing and woodblock printmaking. Since May 2008, he has created hundreds of drawings of builders, Bam staff and Museum staff, as well as a series of woodblock prints which will be assembled as portfolio. These works will lead to a solo exhibition in the Museum at the end of 2009 when it is reopened to the public.
