Weimin’s prints were presented to the Queen


On 2nd December 2009, Weimin He’s new catalogue ‘Building the New Ashmolean’ and his series woodblock prints ‘Ashmolean Builders’ (Edition 1/60), were presented to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II as gift by the Ashmolean Museum during Her Majesty's visit to the Museum for the official opening of the new Ashmolean Museum. 

New book & Limited edition prints

Building the New Ashmolean - Drawings and Prints by Weimin He has been published by the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford. The 160 page book features 325 works including portraits of the Museum staff, BAM staff, construction workers, sketches on site and woodblock prints of Ashmolean builders. This book is sponsored by the BAM construction UK and Heyan’er Ethical Fashion Beijing. 
The book (£20) is now available in the Ashmolean Shop.

From 1 April 2009, Weimin has been working as artist-in-residence at the Oxford University Estates Directorate (OUED). The aim of the residency is to produce a body of graphic works, and to record the historic redevelopment of the Radcliff Observatory Quarter (ROQ) within the University of Oxford. The works will include drawings and woodblock prints.
